is there any way to get the watch read a new or updated app withouth restarting the watch?
For exmaple, when I push a new version of my trailrunnign activity app, I need to restart the watch for it to realise that there’s a new app. After the 1.4 update pushing apps over BT is fesible but forccing a restart does hinder (a bit) the general UX.
Yeah, it’s annoying! I don’t think there’s a way around it. Apps are only discovered at boot (the app manager scans Apps/ on startup), so a new .uapp won’t be picked up until you power-cycle. The only things that reload live are config/data read from files at runtime — the precompiled binary itself always needs a reboot.
